Israel Invades Gaza…AGAIN!

Israel has resumed its military campaign in Gaza just days after announcing the cancellation of a ceasefire agreement reached with Hamas, which was in the process of entering its second phase and would have included the release of additional Israelis held in Hamas custody. The renewal of ground operations in Gaza also comes on the heels of a large-scale Israeli air strike on the densely-populated Palestinian territory, which killed more than 400 people, including women and children.

Israeli ground forces are on the offensive again in Gaza and health officials there say that since Israel resumed its military operations days ago, over 700 Palestinians have been killed. The latest Israeli strikes have already hit numerous civilian targets, including a hospital.

The fighting shows no signs of stopping, despite Egyptian attempts (even reported on in the Israeli press) to bring the Netanyahu government back to the negotiating table and Israeli and American officials alike are promising a hellfire the likes of which Gaza has never seen.

As The Stew Peters Network reported last week, Israel’s latest military movements came in direct response to President Trump giving Israel the “green light” – according to statements from both Israel and the White House itself.

What’s more, is that coinciding with the action in Gaza, President Trump ordered US military strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, and during a Fox News interview, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was rather forward about the potential for war with Iran.

Also reported by The Stew Peters Network last week, Israel’s renewed military campaign has come over the staunch objections of the family members of those currently held prisoner by Hamas. For them, their families say, Israel’s latest military campaign constitutes a death sentence and the final nail in the coffin of any hopes of a final prisoner swap or release.

“Our government is despicable to me, it simply decided to abandon our hostages today, both the living and the dead, by actually entering into a comprehensive war in Gaza,” said Michel Illouz, the father of Guy Illouz, an Israeli hostage whose death was announced on December 1st of last year. “The Israeli government today, in its decision, decided to murder our children,” Michael Illouz added.

Dani Elgarat, the brother of another late hostage named Itzik Elgarat, also spoke to the media and accused the Netanyahu government of activating “a self-destruct mechanism on the kidnapped people,” whom Dani says will die alongside members of Hamas when Israel’s military levels Gaza.
