The Solana cryptocurrency community is rallying around Jeff Younger, the Texas father of two whose 12-year-old son, James, has been ordered by a California court to undergo chemical castration because his mother claims he’s trans.
In a community effort to support Jeff’s legal fight which has now lasted years, the new crypto token on the Solana blockchain, known on exchanges as $SAVEJAMES, was released the week of Thanksgiving and has quickly built up a strong base of support. So far, the project has raised thousands of dollars toward Jeff’s cause as his legal fight now enters the appeals phase.
On a webpage dedicated to the $SAVEJAMES token, it’s explained that “$SAVEJAMES was not deployed by Jeff Younger himself. Instead, a member of the Solana community launched it after learning that the court had ruled against him. The project received over 100 SOL in donations, and approximately 5.7% of the total supply was allocated to him. A member of the team was able to make contact with him and reached an agreement to support the project.”
More information on the $SAVEJAMES token is available at DexScreener.com, a website that offers real-time cryptocurrency tracking and trading data and which can also be linked to a crypto wallet for quick purchases.
On the Dex Screener website, a summary from the token’s creators tells crypto fans that “father of two Jeff Younger, 59, announced on X that he ‘lost all parental rights’ over his twin sons after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Juhas granted his estranged pediatrician ex-wife Anne Georgulas the authority to ‘castrate’ his 12-year-old son James.”
The summary also quotes Jeff Younger directly as he explains that he “lost all parental rights to my sons. Goodbye, boys. Perhaps, we will meet when you are adults. California Judge Juhas gave my ex-wife authority to castrate my son, James.”
“WE WILL SUPPORT JEFF AND SEND HIM DONATIONS TO FIGHT FOR THE LEGAL BATTLE FOR HIS CHILDREN,” the summary concludes.
Additionally, $SAVEJAMES now has its own X profile to help keep the public up to speed on what’s going on. That profile can be found under the username of @SaveJamesOnSol.
